What we doPillar detail

Rights & dignity

Helping girls understand their rights and speak up for dignity in their homes, schools and communities.

Why this matters

Meeting girls where barriers are real.

We equip girls with knowledge of their rights, confidence, leadership skills and the ability to speak up, make informed decisions and participate meaningfully in their communities. We also advocate for safer, more supportive environments and engage communities on barriers to education, abuse, harmful practices, early pregnancy and limited opportunities.

What we do

How this pillar shows up in GGI's work.

  • Girls' Rights, Leadership & Empowerment

We equip girls with knowledge of their rights, confidence, leadership skills and the ability to speak up, make informed decisions and participate meaningfully in their communities.

  • Advocacy & Community Engagement

We advocate for safer, more supportive environments for girls and engage communities on issues affecting girls, including barriers to education, abuse, harmful practices, early pregnancy and limited opportunities.

How we work

Community-centred. Girl-focused. Empowerment-driven.

Pillar work travels through school engagement, safe conversations, mentorship and local partnerships.

01

Listen

Start from what girls and communities name as barriers.

02

Educate & support

Bring rights, health, confidence and mentorship into the room.

03

Partner locally

Never as a one-size programme dropped from outside.

Girl-focused

This pillar exists so girls are informed, protected and hopeful.

Community-rooted

Delivery stays close to schools, families and local partners.

Bring this work closer to girls who need it.
